Size

Three hand-beaded rosettes set along a slim black leather band. Each one is a target of tiny glass seed beads — white on the outside, then turquoise, then royal blue, with a dark blue centre. Understated from a distance, then surprisingly detailed when someone leans in to say hello to your dog.

This is one of our slim collars — a 3/4" to 1 1/2" band with beadwork set in rosettes, rather than a fully beaded panel. Lighter on the neck, and the easier choice for a dog who wears a collar all day.

The rosettes sit along the front of the band, so they stay visible when the collar is worn.

Getting the size right

Our sizes are the fitted neck range — the neck the collar is meant to close around, not the total length of the strap. Measure before you order; a beaded collar has less give than a plain one, so guessing tends to go wrong in one direction.

As a rough guide: 8–14" suits small breeds and puppies, 14–18" most medium breeds, and 18–24" large breeds. Breed is only a starting point though — measure the dog in front of you.

How wide it will be

Width is tied to the size you pick — it is not a separate choice. The smallest three sizes are a 3/4" band; the largest are a full 1 1/2".

Looking after it

Wipe the leather with a damp cloth and let it dry away from radiators and direct sun. Don't machine wash it, soak it, or put it in a tumble dryer — the beadwork is stitched, and repeated soaking will loosen the thread over time. The leather will darken a little and soften to your dog's neck with wear; that is the collar settling in, not wearing out.
